Snowy Morning

Well it FINALLY snowed. On Tuesday morning (Valentine's Day) we had a pretty snow. I took the morning off from work to take pictures. My husband and I went for a ride down to Mill Creek to take pictures, then took pictures of my friend's horses on the same road we live on and then back home to take pictures of the cows. Of course Jake (The Farm Dog) went too. The red cow is Lucky Girl, we raised her on a bottle so she is really tame not that any of our cows here at the house are wild as you will see. The cows at the farm are not this tame just because there are too many of them. I will post the story of Lucky Girl sometime soon and pictures as she has grown up.

  2. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. It's funny my daughter lives a few miles from here and there is a Mill Creek near her house. I have seen another blog with Mill Creek in another state also.

Looks like you have a Candlewick candy dish in your Valentine photo, I have had a pair of Candlewick candlesticks for over 50 years, and have been finding Candlewick stemware at the local Salvation Army, really cheap, I think they don't have a clue as to what it is.

I am missing my cows, had 5, sold 3 at the auction the other 2 are now pastured with my daughters cows and a friends bull.

BTW .. I am not liking new word verifications, going to try to send again

  3. The Candlewick bowl you see is a reproduction I picked up at Marshall's home store. I bought 2 different sizes. I am always checking Salvation Army and Goodwill for things too. I hope you will keep visiting me for more farm girl stories. I have many to tell. I would miss our cows too.if they weren't here. Thanks for visiting my blog. More to come soon.

  10. Loved your tour-de-animals. Wish I lived on a farm but I'm stuck in the city for now until my husband retires (again). Thanks for checking on my Collies. In addition to them, I have 7 cats. All rescues of some kind or another. Your post reminds me to do a post on all the kitties. Pleased to be following you now and put you in my reader. - Debbie O.
