Introducing Jake the Farm Dog

I would like for you to meet Jake. He has many duties around here one of which is helping his dad (Richard) with farm work. He just works from sun up to sun down. One of his main duties is protecting us. Richard says he just looks like he is sleeping at night but really he is just pretending always keeping his guard up just in case there is a bear that comes through the yard or someone tries to break in the house. He goes in the truck to help check the cattle every day too. He goes to work every day with Richard at the Archery Shop. You know someone has got to keep things in order there also. I have written 3 stories about Jake, his friend Bear (my sister's poodle) and their little girlfriend. They get into all kinds of mischief mainly because they both like the same little girl dog. I will keep her name a secret for a while. I am working on getting these children's books published. If you believe all this about the work he does I really am a good writer. Really Jake is not a dog to us, he is a member of our family. We love him very much.
