Spring on the Farm

Sunday we caught some of the calves, ear tagged them, banded the bull calves, and took pictures. Here are a few of the babies and some Mom's. In the spring we have lots of babies running around, about 40 so far. We call it the nursery!

 

Beautiful Horse in the Snow!

I have always loved horses even as a little girl and then as a teenager I showed horses. I can't help but want to take pictures when I see them in a field even if I don't know who they belong to. This one happens to belong to a childhood friend of mine. She just lives down the road and we used to ride together as kids. It was snowing the day I took this just a couple of weeks ago. When we move to our bigger farm later this year (we hope) we have already talked about getting a couple of horses. My husband loves them too and there is nothing prettier than a couple of horses grazing in the field.
