Karrah number 3,
When you are from a small town like mine and you know everyone when something bad happens it hits us all like a ton of bricks. Friday night my granddaughter and her ball team were at a camp out and slumber party. They are all 13 and 14 years old. They had a bonfire at one of the girls houses back in the field, they were just doing what kids do, you know having fun. One of the girls step brother went to check the bonfire and the girls wanted to ride in the back of the pickup truck, he thought they were all in and one of them fell and was ran over by the tire of a big four wheel drive truck. It was an accident, the boy is devastated and never wants to drive that truck again. She was killed and the whole team witnessed it. These girls have been together since they started playing ball and they are all devastated as you can imagine. My cousin who is also the High School Principal has been their coach since they started playing. He has coached them through baseball and basketball and soccer in first grade and he has a daughter the same age. He loves them all and has spent countless hours taking them to ballgames, taking them home, feeding them, etc. He is with them in the pictures I have posted. This was a beautiful little girl and I ask for your prayers for her family, friends, classmates, and ball team. School starts here on Tuesday and what should have been a bright day will now be a very sad day. Her visitation is Wednesday and her funeral will be Thursday. In the pictures I am posting Karrah is number 3.
I just had a birthday and it was great. My family had a party for me and I didn't fix a thing, all right I fixed the hamburger patties but they brought everything else. I also had a party at work. I have great friends and a great family and I love them all. The rooster bowl is from my friend Mitsy, the silver bracelet from my husband and attached to the note that says video camera was enough money to buy a good video camera, the silver and black bracelet is from my sister, the flower pot my sister made and grew the basil that is planted in it and she had a carpenter cut the L for Lucas and those are all pictures I have taken of him, the solar butterfly is from my mother in law, the balloons and flower pot full of chocolate chip cookies were delivered by my neighbor and friend Debbie before I left for work. and the last picture is Lucas wishing me Happy Birthday. Lucas made me the stepping stone of his foot with help from his Daddy. How about that card my sister made for me, how cute is that? I love it.
Welcome to my blog. I am a Farm Girl at heart and a photographer, still working full time and love to decorate my home. I am married to my wonderful husband for 31 years who puts up with all my ideas and believe me I have many. We have a little male Yorkie named Jake, a Manchester Terrier named Molly and lots of cattle. Both of our dogs are rescues from bad situations. We treat our cattle better than most people probably treat their kids. We love all our animals. I work at a major University as a Administrative Assistant and do photography professionally on the side. My husband was the owner of an archery business for 35 years but we recently sold the business and we now raise cattle full time
. I love to decorate our home and scour antique shops and flea markets for unique items all the time. You can usually find me out and about on Saturdays looking. I help my friends decorate their homes too. I love to bake and am always taking things to work. We love to go to Wyoming on vacations. We raise cattle and something you might not expect from me is my husband and I love to Turkey Hunt together. I can't wait for spring turkey season.
